The Hair Garage ~ We have been at our current location since May 29th, 2009. Our building was established in the very early 1900’s, 1902-1905 era. We completely gutted the building and replaced all the electrical and plumbing, adding insulation to all the walls and ceiling. The floor is a concrete overlay that has been stained, scored, and grouted to look like tile. We found a hidden treasure when the old drop ceiling was taken down. My husband looked up and found an original tin ceiling that had been installed when the building was first built. Everyone that comes into the salon is struck by the beauty of the ceiling and always comments on how wonderful it is to look at. Our salon is unique in many ways. We are a beautiful salon that is out of the norm in design, but also we are definitely a family oriented salon. We pride ourselves in being a salon that is welcoming and fun at the same time being professional and well educated.
We have four stations for stylists and two pedicure stations to keep the pedicure experience on the intimate side but still let a couple come in together should they choose to have some pampering done together. We also have a full body waxing room where a client can go to have anywhere from a eyebrow wax to a whole body wax done in complete privacy. Our location is also in an area that is being rebuilt and yet the parking isn’t a problem and there aren’t any parking time constraints to deal with.
